$10 to get in. Or $20 gets you a girs membership (free access to fest, access to member areas of the forum, and this fest will have some prizes that are available to win ONLY by paid members)

Are there times scheduled for the speakers? I didn't see anything about it on the main page unless I missed it.

Speaker times were just decided last week and I haven't had a chance to update the fest page on that yet.

All the information however was in an e-mail that was sent out last week. If you didn't get it, check your spam folder, and add us to your trusted senders.

I send a newsletter monthly with all kinds of good club information. Around fest time I'll send them out frequently to update on event information, vendors who are attending, raffle prizes etc.

No problem!! No offense taken from my perspective! I hope you get the mass emailing. If not - please send me or the GIRS board a PM - and we can take a further look.

Actually it was good that you mentioned it so I had a reminder to go get those things added.

As for the e-mail I'm going to guess it got hit by a spam filter. It got sent to the e-mail you signed up on the site with on 3/16/2014 6:28:13 PM

This is going to be my first fest as well. The timing is perfect because I finally got the new tank algea under control in my setup. Reading this thread I've got a handle on the when & where, but how about the "how"? If I'm looking to score some frags are there some things I should plan on bringing? A bucket/foam cooler comes to mind, but I'm looking for some advice from some veterans.

    Cash............

A cooler is nice. It will keep your corals in a more stable temperature condition until you get them home. Depending on the actual weather that day and how far you are driving afterwards will dictate whether it is necessary. But if you have a styraphome or other small cooler - its easy enough to bring and provides a bit of safety net.
