I recently switched over to Bio-Sea Marine salt and it works great. I used to use reef crystals but I hate all the junk that builds up in the mixing tank with the reef crystals. The Bio-Sea Marine doesn't have this issue.

Bio-sea Marine FTW!!!! and I'm not looking back. This stuff mixes clear in minutes......and I mean MINUTES!!! I switched from red sea coral pro which I liked but the correct mixing procedure is quite tedious and didn't allow for very long storage. IMO salt is not something you want to cheap out on. Its the life blood of the tank and not something you want to get because its cheap or on sale.

I run Aqua Vitro Salinity on my Sps tank. It's ok. The salt stinks and leaves residue in mixing bin. But the parameters are perfect for what I run. And I figure if it ain't broke don't fix it.
On my other tank I run Bio sea marine mix. I really like it mixes clear. Parameters on fresh salt is good for what I run and it don't stink. Corals and fish in both systems are healthy and happy.

If I start a new tank or have to redo this tank I'll use Bio-Sea. I use Reef Crystals now and tried switching but adjusting dosing and parameters too much of a pain and my corals didn't like the equilibrium being messed with. It seems like good salt, just a if it isn't broke don't fix it issue with me.

I tried another "premium" salt, but was quickly back to Reef Crystals.

I use Reef Crystals. I've had people who switched to other salts, and didn't see much of a difference and switched back. Why pay more for the same thing? But if you like what you're using, just keep going with it.

Red Sea (not the Pro one). Great for those who are running systems where you're trying to stay close to NSW parameters. Had used Aquavitro Salinity and Reefer's Best from Korallen Zucht previously since those both tout natural saltwater parameters as well. Red Sea mixes well, doesn't leave any residue behind, is easy to find, and is cheaper than both the comparable alternatives.

I've tried one box of Bio-Sea Marine and I don't think I'll ever go back to Reef Crystals.

What a lot of people have trouble with is they switch to a different salt to fast.

Bio-sea Marine salt is the closest to NSW levels that you can get on the market. So you wont have 12dkh like RC

So when you switch salts take it slow and do research on the salt or ask
