Snails - The natural algae clip

I have been patient this time and have fought the urge to dip this snail in the display tank as a treat. This snail has what I assume to be a 5" x 6" bunch of ulva sea lettuce growing from his shell. He just does his business up and down the side of the refugium each day, all while carrying this around. There seems to be some chaeto fused in there also.

Wow that is amazing for it to get that big. I am surprised he call pull it around all the time

 

For extra entertainment, drop it right in front of a fan and watch how far it sails across the tank!

My lawnmower blenny does a good job keeping the snail shells clean.
