Power supply shot in the dark

    Im sure this will be a long shot, but got to ask, would anyone happen to have a power supply for a AI Sol? Im in the market for one.

    I think them power supplies are basically laptop powersupplies.Just check to make sure they are the same amps. Pm one of them guys from makers led they would lnow for sure.

    Hey John, I am pretty sure you should just be able to go to Radio Shack and they can hook you up with one. I have heard many people say that they buy replacement ones there.

    Haven't looked but I think the SOL requires a 36 volt power supply, not sure of the amperage requirements either. You should be able to use any power supply with the same specs but I wouldn't get your hopes up on Radio Shack having them.

    Thx guys--- I can get one from AI for $50 plus $13 tax and shipping, I thought that was outrageous, maybe it's not, I don't have a clue
    Jeremy, I wonder if I took my new one in to Farnsworth, they could hook me up??....

    Might be worth a shot. I can't believe ai wants so much for them. That's crazy!

    I did a quick peek online, Amazon sells Dell Laptop power supplies for $9.97 if they are compatible that would be the ticket. Order 3 you can have them shipped free still under AI's price tag.

    You can't just use any power supply. They need to be the correct voltage, meet the minimum current requirements, and have the correct barrel size with the correct polarity. Unless you order them from Hong Kong I can guarantee they will cost more than $10.

    I guess thats why I mentiioned" If they were compatible"" ofcourse you may have missed that.. It sure wouldn't do any harm to investigate it...
