Metal Halide bubs

I need to get 2 150w bulbs for my light system. They are the double ended style. My question is they will be used on a 75g tank. The fixture also has 2 96w pcs. I plan on keeping zoas and mushrooms in the tank along with some Gobies and shrimp.


What type of bulbs would you suggest ? 10,000K 14,000K or 20,000K? Not sure what to get & what would let me grow some nice corals...Still reading and learning. Thanks Mike


The pcs are a 6700/10000K and a 420/460nm

 

What brand/type of ballast is running them? That makes a big difference in picking the most effecient bulb. Here is a guide to Sanjay's bulb tests. You may need to turn on "compatibility view" to view if you are using Internet Explorer 9 or 10:
