Can anyone help me drill my tank?

    For the past year my 135gal tank has been in my living room. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of room in there and I had to sacrifice some sitting room to get it in there. I have decided to move the tank into my bedroom and think that will be a great time to get rid of the siphon box and drill the tank.

    I am nervous about doing this because I have not done it before and one mistake will ruin the tank. I also don't have the equipment.

    I am wondering if anyone is willing to come help me do this? The move will require planning and good timing in order be successful. I don't plan on doing this before the end of the year, but would like to start getting the planning for it done.

    Let me know if anyone has a bit and experience with drilling that may be willing to help. I live in Waverly.

    Hey Will,

    If you want to bring it down to the store I will drill it for you.

    If it is too big, come down & I can show you how it is done. We have about 80 tanks we are going to drill so you can watch/practice.

    Hey will i havent drilled one myself but i do have a hole saw you can use if you dont want to take it to to washburn. If you need any help with the move let me know.

    Hey Will, I'll be drilling a couple holes in a 40 breeder today, you're welcome to come over and watch. I've got a 1.75" (45mm) hole saw. It's the size for 1" fittings.

    Let me know if you want to come over, I've got a couple things going on today so I'd need to know what time you would be coming by to work around it.

    Thanks for the offer guys. I didn't get the message in time to make it on Sunday Adam. I will be going on the tank tour and will talk to you guys about it there. Brian, I might take you up on the offer for help with the move. I am hoping to do it sometime in January. Hope to see you both at the tank tour again!
