We purchased a rainbow BTA at @Armydog@Armydog 's August frag fest last year from AZNUTTY and it has been splitting like crazy the past few months. We now have 8 of them (would be 9 but sold one). They all have their foot pretty well rooted in the rocks so tough to remove them but running out of room for them in the spot they are in!

We have 2 BTA's in the other tank for nearly 2 years and one of them split once and that is it.

They look nice! Are you feeding them or do they have clowns?

we feed them about 3x/week. There is a pair of clowns in the tank but they have taken up residence with our purple goniopora for reasons known only to them.

Anecdotally I have found that the Clown fish is interested in the most expensive coral to host rather than any anemone provided.

Just read a neat article on breeding flower anemones in the second quarter issue of Reef Hobbyist Magazine. Not sure if it fully applies to BTA's but still informative for those anemone lovers out there ;)

That's incredible! I have two large BTAs, and five smaller ones that I am not quite sure where they came from.

I was told putting an ice cube near but not touching the foot of the nem will cause it to let go. People said to be careful cause itll let go quick and start floating.
Interested in one if you wanna get rid of them
