apex auto feeder

i am going on vacation for 2 weeks and just got my AFS yesterday does anybody have any knowledge/hacks as to what works best for mounting (stock options/custom) and what food options have been working best for everyone for consistency?

 

I just use pellets and mount it on my canopy side.

 

Small pellets work best.

 

Ive been looking into one of these. Id have to figure a way to get the wire to it as my apex is downstairs. Would you have any concern putting this in a canopy with rust?

 

from what i can see the only thing i would possibly be concerned about is the usb connections everything else is plastic or inside the unit.

 

Yep all plastic

 

So how do I verify what firmware I have?

 

Check it under web interface under configuration tab>module setup
