Acrylics Project - 30g Rimless Sump w/ refugium & ATO storage

This is one I will be bringing to Fall Fest



It is 36 x 14 x 14, has a 6" intake chamber, ~14" long refugium section, 6" return pump section, and 6" wide ATO water storage section (about 4.5 gallons). All 3/8" except for up/downs and bottom (which are 1/4")

Very similar to what I am currently building for my 350 display. Mine is 48" x 24" though and also has 2 filter sock holders built in.

$350 normally but doing this one for a little discount so I can show it off at FF. Plus prices depend on price and availability of acrylic - I just found out that tornados/hurricanes took out a few plants out east which in conjunction with China and Oil prices are haywire right now...

 

All the pieces are ready, just chose to show these in particular: baffle w/overflow teeth and the ATO inner wall with a 1/2" routed notch. The notch was done mostly freehand with a final pass using a template. Mucho safety precautions...

That's all the baffle joints for this one. Next, flush trim & bottom. Large bottom joint on this one with all the baffles...

She came down and was like "What are you doing?"

"Why?"
"Just to make sure it doesn't explode"
