So i did some math to what is said on dr fosters So 175g bucket will make 1.021 sg which is 1.4lbs. Which means the bucket should weigh 49lbs...

What do you mean? You add saltwater to your tank to top off evaporation ?
What I did when i switched salts was 3 cups of old salt and 2 cups of new. Imo you should slowly switch
