This little guy took me by suprise. From what I've read, fan worms are a good thing to have,Right?
you can just see his fan extended on the right end.

 

Yes, a sign of a healthy tank, and a beneficial filter feeder.

 

That's a mini feather duster isn't it? I've got a bunch of them, pretty cool.

 

It will turn into a tarde coco worm years from now.... The ones you see in fish stores for 40-100$ start out as that and years and years later they get big and cool... Feather dusters have a soft shell.... coco worms as pictured above have a hard shell..
