Advice? T5 LED hybrid

    I'm building myself a t5 led hybrid out of extra stuff i have laying around and initially I was going to do 8-39w bulbs but after pricing everything out i would save quite a bit going with 4-80w instead, is the extra foot of light worth the extra $70 i'd spend on bulbs every time I change em?

    You may lose just a bit of coverage at the very edge of the tank, but I think your plan to run 4 -80w bulbs will be just fine.
    Really with your size tank the t5 is going to even and fill things out light wise more than add a substantial amount of par to depth.

    You will not notice a difference. The spread will be fine. It would not be worth the extra $ .
    60 inch bulbs cover a 6ft tank just fine.
