par 38 leds

while looking for new lights for my biocube, I stumbled upon the par38s. I was wondering if anyone has has experience with these, or know much about them. I'm not looking for style I'm looking for performance

 

most seem to not have agood spread but they seem to work well if you are in des moines area i will bring one over and we can test it out if you would like

 

I've seen youtube clips of them, and they seen to have a "spot light" affect. I figure i'm only lighting a 14gal bio cube so hang it up a little higher and the spot lighting shouldnt be bad. I want to be able to grow some corals but I didn't know if it was strong enough.

They make bulbs too, but I haven't really compared the specs on them.

 

I ordered the LEDwholesale par38... Is worse then the lights I have on it. I don't even get a spotlight affect. Not sure if I should try another brand or what.

yeah led wholesalers par38 is crap i ordered once and half of the lights didnt work and then i got it replaced and it only worked for about a month and was not that good at all

 

Should look at the Kessil A150's
