Newbie

Hey everybody! My name is Alex Pottebaum and I'm an ISU college student from des moines. At the moment I have an overstocked 90 gallon fish tank at home and an empty 28 gallon that's eventually going to stay in my dorm room when I get the stand. Over spring break and the summer I'm going to convert my 90 gallon tank into a seagrass aquarium and connect it to my 135 gallon going-to-be reef, so I'm gonna need a lot of advice and ways to do it cheap since I am in college.

Any relation to the Pottebaum's of NW Iowa? I actually have a cousin named Alex Pottebaum too, I got a little excited when I saw your name. I was hoping he had a tank I didn't know about!

 

No I don't, sorry. It is awesome though to find another Pottebaum who actually appreciates saltwater aquariums though!
