Girs regional group

I have never joined a regional group because Im in the middle of 3. Does it benefit me to join one?

 

nope not really. We do a lot of things in the Iowa City area. We have tank tour this Saturday. You coming?

 

What time? Where you meeting and how many stops you guys doing? Ive never done that before.

 

I think you could just subscribe to some of the individual threads in the 3 forums if you wanted to make sure you didn't miss an event, although a new post will show up on the homepage on GIRS too. Really though, there's not a ton of activity within the regional groups, so joining oen or more isn't really going to add too much extra email for you.

 

if you are not subscribed to a regional group, those threads will not show up in the recent activity on the home page!

 

Are you sure about that? I can see the Des Moines Tank Tour post on my home page right now and I am not a member of their group........and it is listed under their forum area. I think anyone can see a new post on the homepage (unless you're not a member, then you will only see the non-member content), regardless of whether or not you're a member of that regional group.

 

no i never see des moines, or waterloo, or quad cities, but I see IC/CR stuff on the home pagee all the time. IDK if maybe the server settings are wonkie or what?

 

I don't know, I can see the Waterloo/CF tank tour post now too, and I'm not a member of that group either(?) but maybe I have my settings on something different than you do? I just assumed everyone could see the new posts on the GIRS homepage? I suppose JB or someone might know?
