Could you take him to the fish store Travis? It's not good for him to be in a bag while you wait for him to be traded :9( He needs oxygenated water and flow.

Stores near me dont do trades. Or credit. I dont really wanna give it to a store to resell for a profit...

It won't stay viable in that bag for long. If it looks like poo or dies, you aren't going to get anything for it either. Let's not forget it's a living creature. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

I noticed Coral Havel keeps their anemones individually in a small glass in the corner of a frag tank to prevent them from attaching to around the tank or stinging stuff. I think that would work for you in the interim until you find a home for it. Also, it'll look a lot better for you to take pictures to try to find interest. I'd help, but those nems need a really big tank to grow out - bigger than my 75g has room for.

    Good luck!

Im definitely not tryin to harm a creature but they are in bags for a couple days during shipping. I do open the bag and exchange water but i cant risk him re attaching or stinging anything.

Putting it in a small glass in your tank would prevent attaching and stinging. This is also a great reason to research before impulse buying - prevents these headaches down the road. Not looking to be a preacher here, but I hate seeing these posts. :/

So you would rather keep it in a bag then trade it in or give away to a store to resell and re home. Brilliant

Petco tanks are crap. He was the size of a tennis ball at the store. Came home and he expanded to the size of a grapefruit. But as I said ill just take it to pets playhouse

When an animal is put in a bag for a couple of days for shipping. There is usually a certain level of health that the animal has obtain before most companies will ship. A lot of times there are other measures that are put into place to help protect the animal.

Anemones can and will close up for days without any real reason why. You can look at several threads where people have had similar issues and days later everything is ok. If the animal is struggling a change to someone else tank will most likely just continue the issue.

Do as you like, but remember that it is an animal and it is not meant to be kept in a bag. In that bag temperatures fluctuate quickly (small amount of water) oxygenation does not happen correctly. There are a lot of things that just get worse. If there is any place that can take it off your hand as it seems you do not want to keep it, you should get rid of it. All of us, at some point have sold something out of our tank, even if I took it, I might end of selling it.
