I know many people even go without lenses on nanos. I did, but my bulbs are maybe 2-3" from the water as I retrofit a BC29 hood. Very happy with the outcome.

I really like the look of the leds. That seal looks like some awesome stuff! I wish someplace around here had it...

I want to upgrade to LED's from my T5's
How many LED's do I need for a 75gallon tank?
How hard is it to set everything up?

I usually just brush on some silicone over the terminals/connections. RTV, liquid electrical tape, silicone, they all work just be sure to let it cure fully before placing near your tank.
    Good luck!

Depends on what is in it and size and depth... Which type of led setup... Lots of info on this forum already regarding the basics. You will be surprised at how many people before you have asked similar questions. Read a bit first, then ask away, you will get more responses if your question is specific. We are all happy to help.
