Pick up a lawnmower blenny from my lfs last sat and I haven't seen him eat since I got him into qt. I've tried sinking algae pellets and nori. Does anyone have ideas or suggestions?

How did you feed the nori? Did you try to attach it to a rock? Might work better than if you just hung it on a clip. Maybe find someone with some rocks full of algae that you could throw in there with it.
I've never had one, but I think they pretty much graze the rocks for algae. I think you would need to provide that for the best luck. It might take some time to transition it onto some kind of prepared food like you are trying.

Yeah I tried a clip. Had actually thought about pulling some algae out of my fuge to put into his tank and see if he would eat that. Whole reason I got him was to maintain the gha in my fuge.

i would attach the nori to a rock, as well as pull some rocks with gha from the fuge and see if he will go for it. Something that's more natural to him foraging the reefs for algae.

Some of them wont even eat algae especially if theyre older. I have one that is almost exclusively a carnivore now and is fat on LRS food.

I just lost my blenny last weekend :(

I have plenty of hair algae in my tank...it just stopped eating. Did the nori on a clip, free floating, and attached to the rock. Tried algae wafers. He wasn't eating at all. Slowly wasted away.

I hope you have better luck. Before it stopped eating, it was living very true to its name.

I have had a couple for a while.. I put a drop or two of garlic on the frozen food. After 5-10 min. every fish loves it.

What is everyone using for garlic? Can I simply run to the store or does it need to be something more specific?
