I bought the retrofit kit for my biocube, but I would like to make it more blue. Is it as simple as just adding more blues or is there a smarter way to do it?

yeah, I think that you could just add a couple more blues.

It won't overload my driver? And how much is a couple? Lol

Also, royal blue vs blue, and optics vs none....

Just change out some of the whites with blues or look into adding dimming.

I have 5 white, 5 blue... If i took out whites how much will it affect my coral choice?

Which driver do you have? .. My 20 gallon tank has 10 royal blue and 6 white with 2 moonlight. I also have 80 degree optics on them. Depending how high the lights are, you want different optics. If the light is high up, the narrow optics, close to the tank, wide optics or even none. Otherwise, you will get spotlight effects.

What ever driver comes with the retrofit lol. My lights are only 3 inches from my water so pretty close. Right now my leds have no optics.

For 3 inches above the water you don't need any optics.
As for adding more LEDS that all depends on what drivers/heatsinks came with the retrofit kit. Where did you get the kit from?

You should be able to put up to 14 LEDs on the mean well driver.

I would drop to 2 whites and add 3 blues.

Which would make only 3 whites... If that rashly enough? I read somewhere that the blue lights are all for show, that the whites are what make corals grow so i thought i would need so many watts of them
